Rocky shoreline at low tide: pale sand winding between large rounded boulders covered in dark green seaweed, with a hazy sky and distant tree silhouettes.

The Ile de Callot can only be reached at low tide (unless you have a boat). Before the tide reveals the road, it exposes a sandbank that allows you to walk to the island. The Channel leaves seaweed on the beach. These plants are highly ionised and have a rather strong smell, but they were also an important source of income for the local population.
