Je näher man dem Kap des Pen Hir kommt, desto bizarrer werden die Felsen am Rand des Plateaus. Vor den Felsen gibt es über die ganze Ebene hinweg blühende Flechten, die mit dem Grau der Steinformationen aprupt enden und in die Tiefe stürzen, wo die Brandung des Atlantiks auf einen wartet. Hier sieht man den Felsen von gestern aber aus einer anderen Perspektive. Jetzt lässt sich die Höhe des Küstenverlaufs besser einschätzen.
